TOM SALVATORI
On the quiet side of the guitar - Solo Guitar Show
NOW AVAILABLE for booking small, sophisticated and intimate venues: Nylon String Guitar Composer Tom Salvatori presents an introspective show entitled On the Quiet Side of the Guitar.
Tom’s performance will feature highlights from his award-winning and internationally published portfolio of original instrumental compositions for solo guitar along with some hand-picked popular 1970’s Progressive Rock instrumental cover pieces from his guitar heroes…Jan Akkerman (Focus), Robert Fripp (King Crimson), Steve Howe (Yes), and Steve Hackett (Genesis).
The performance of this show will create a warm and welcoming environment and is perfect for more sophisticated gatherings, such as wine tastings, upscale bars, parlours, art galleries, coffee shops, cocktail hours, and small outdoor patio settings and events...
If the booking venue is appropriate for UNAMPLIFIED Guitar, Tom is pleased to perform on his 1972 Hernandis Grade #1 Classical Guitar. Unamplified guitar works best in an acoustic environment where a seated audience is prepared to intently listen to the very understated, often muted colors and nuances of a classical guitar. This can be an especially magical and intimate experience and works best indoors with an audience prepared...for NO idle chit-chat, chomping, chewing, clanking, clicking, cellphones...etc.
If the booking venue environment is more appropriate for AMPLIFIED Guitar (which most casual, social, drinking and dining gatherings seem to be these days!), Tom is pleased to perform on his GODIN La Patrie Classical Electric Guitar, which sounds quite natural when played through his Fischman Acoustic amplifier.
Two to three forty-five-minute sets are available for booking...please call 312-519-6470 or e-mail tom@tomsalvatori.com for a quote and for calendar availability.
